Q: What firearms will the LT-PRE work with?
A: The LT-PRE works with firearms chambered in 9MM, 40 S&W, 45 ACP, 38 special, .380 Auto, 357 Sig, 10MM, 45 LC, and 50 AE (.35 - .50 caliber) so long as you have at least 1.875” of actual barrel length.
Q: How do I install the LT-PRE?
A: The LT-PRE has a small plastic insulator located within the battery compartment. This needs to be removed before use. After removing insulator, turn the unit on and use the adapter (attached to the laser) to find the proper fit for your barrel. This adapter expands and retracts until it can be inserted snugly in your barrel. For .35 caliber firearms, the adapter will not need to be expanded very much. For higher calibers, the adapter will need to be expanded farther. Gently insert the LT-PRE into the muzzle of the pistol. The laser will activate when your weapon is dry fired.
Q: Will dry firing my weapon with the LT-PRE damage my firearm?
A: To help reduce strain on your firing pin, we do suggest using snap caps.
Q: How long does the LT-PRE activate?
A: When the hammer or striker is fired the laser activates for 100 milli-seconds to show where impact would have been if one was shooting with ammunition.
Q: How do I sight in the laser?
A: There are two adjustment screws located on the laser. The elevation adjustment screw is on top of the laser; the windage adjustment screw is on the right side of the laser (when installed with the guide line on top).
Q: What size hex wrench do the adjustment screws use?
A: The adjustment screws use a 1.5MM hex wrench. If you lose yours and cannot find one please contact Customer Service via email at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will send you a new one.
Q: The batteries die within a few days of installation. What’s going on?
A: The LT-PRE is a sound and vibration activated device. When the unit is on, the laser is constantly searching for sound and vibration, therefore draining the battery power.
Please be certain to turn it off between uses. Tap the laser gently to ensure it is off.
Q: What kind of batteries and how many does the LT-PRE use?
A: The LT-PRE uses three batteries, size 377.
Q: How long do the batteries last?
A: The battery life is 3,000 shots.
Q: Where can I purchase replacement batteries for my LT-PRE?
A: The 377 batteries are standard camera/watch/hearing aid batteries that can be purchased at your local Wal-Mart, Radio Shack, local drug store or any other place that sells watch or hearing aid batteries. You may also purchase 12 packs of replacement batteries directly from LaserLyte here: http://www.laserlyte.com/products/12-pack-of-377-batteries.
Q: What is the actual size of the LT-PRE?

Q: How much does the LT-PRE weigh?
A: This laser weighs 0.25 oz.
